Bean Soup
Step 1: Purchase Sprout’s 10 – Bean Soup Mix (found in the bulk food bins)
Step 2: Soak beans overnight.
Step 3: Shallow Fry – using coconut or avacado oil,withwith minced onion, 1 clove of garlic, and chopped stock of celery, with a pinch of salt, pepper, cumin seeds, turmeric powder.
Step 4: Cook until onion starts to change color to a pinkish hue.
Step 5: Place drained beans in large crock-pot. Add water to cover the beans (ratio of water:beans is 1:4 cups). Mix in onion, garlic, celery. Add 2-3 fresh tomatoes.
Step 6: Cook overnight until beans are tender.
