What is rucking?

Rucking is the original weight bearing walking exercise developed in the military. Derived from the idea of carrying a rucksack full of supplies from one place to another, it can easily be adapted as a wonderful way to turbo-charge your walking routine. All you have to do is get a good quality back pack that fastens around your hips so that the majority of the weight is carried by your powerful leg muscles, leaving little to no weight on the shoulder straps.

You might start off with walking with 10% of your body weight in the backpack or rucksack, so if you weight 200 lbs, the backpack might have 15-20 lbs in it. Again, the key is to make sure that the ruck sack is ergonomically distributing most of the weight to your legs through the waist strap. Once the rucksack is secure and feels comfortable, off you go! You are going to get a better workout in terms of heart rate response, muscles activated and total calories burned. Guaranteed.

Backpackers know all about this and you will see them rucking all over the national parks as well as in the Himalayas, the Andes, the Alps and en route to Mt. Kilimanjaro.

There are rucking clubs in virtually every city worldwide because this is a fun, easy activity that virtually everyone can enjoy. We can certainly talk about recommended brands and models, as well as your favorites,  in the comments.

I’m really loving the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A number of my blog audience have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?

I’m sorry for off-topic, I’m thinking about building an enlightening web site for individuals. Will probably begin with posting interesting facts just like”In 10 minutes, a hurricane releases more energy than all of the world’s nuclear weapons combined.”Please let me know if you know where I can find some related information such as here
